Determining fitness levels is important in order to see where you are and where you can go with improving your fitness. Checking body fat, muscular endurance, cardio fitness and flexibility are just a few ways to evaluate your physical fitness.

At VITA Health Cardiac Clinic we perform a comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation to determine how fit you are. Knowing the specifics can help you set realistic fitness goals, monitor your progress and maintain your motivation. Once you know your starting point, you can plan where you want to go.

VO2 max is considered to be the most valid measure of cardiorespiratory fitness. It measures the capacity of the heart, lungs, and blood to transport oxygen to the working muscles, and measures the utilization of oxygen by the muscles during exercise.
